Industrial or vocational type would include anti-vibration gloves, mechanic’s gloves, fingerless gloves, hot mill gloves, beekeeper gloves, garden gloves, and those for functions such as welding or product inspection. Sporting gloves include those for batting, cycling, weightlifting, sailing, skiing,
driving, flying, shooting, horse riding etc. etc. The most common materials used in the production of gloves are leather, cotton, canvas, wool, and nylon. Even within these materials, some types of gloves may use a specific genre of a certain material. For example, cotton gloves may be made of interlock, jersey , terry, or drill material. Similarly, one class of leather may be more suitable for gloves for a specific purpose.
